Nathan ROSE b. 1800-1814 lived in Yancy Co, NC. (brother of John ROSE?) married Rebecca ROWEN in Burke Co NC. Nathan Rose bought land from John LACY in 1835, located in Cades Cove, Blount Co., TN. Nathan paid $300.00 for 160 acres Lot #16. In 1845 Nathan ROSE aquired a land grant in Cades Cove. 1850 - Nathan is living in Cherokee Co., NC. 1860 - Cherokee Co, Stecoah Dist. 1873 - Tax Records of Loudon Co., TN. Searching for any/all info on gggrandfather JOHN G. ROSE and twin brother William Rose. They were born 1833 TN. Are later found on 1850 Grundy CO MO census, in the home of Jefferson and Sarah Brock Rose. Also Francis, and Isabell and younger children. John G returned to Claiborne CO TN and married Mary Ann Wilson. 3 of their sons were born in TN. 1860 census find them in Newton CO MO. Last two sons born in MO. John G and William joined the civil war in MO they fought at Prarie Grove then died in AR. (after the battle) John G in Little Rock. Mary Ann remarried and came to TX. Sarah Brock is found 1860 in Adair Co KY living with her parents. Her last child born in Claiborne CO TN. Jefferson possibly died there.
