Glad to see you are continuing with the obits, they can be annoying, and take a little time, BUT......the one I don't look at might be the one I need. thanks Donna ----- Original Message ----- From: <ROSE-D-request@rootsweb.com> To: <ROSE-D@rootsweb.com> Sent: Tuesday, September 25, 2001 8:01 PM Subject: ROSE-D Digest V01 #181

Hi Everyone, I'm new to this particular list, but have been researching my family ancestry for many years now. Some family branches have come together very nicely, while others have proven to be a bit of a mystery. Right now I'm working on the Rose side of my family. I'm looking for information that might be shared, regarding Roses that lived in Cambria County, PA. The info that I currently have is rather sketchy, but is basically a follows: George Jacob Rose, married to Amanda Elizabeth Miller They had a daughter, Florence Mae Rose, who married John William Burkett. The time period here is the mid 1800s to the early 1900s. I'd appreciate hearing from anyone that has any info they'd like to share regarding this branch of the Roses. Thanks, Bonnie

Hi all Mickey the Cockney Sparrow here now living in very wet Lancashire. Back in 1892 Henry Albert LONSDALE married Elizabeth Tryphina ROSE @ Holy Trinity Church, Kilburn, London. When she married she gave her age as 25 so would have been born about 1867. Her father was John ROSE deceased a stone cutter. On some documents she dropped the Elizabeth and called herself Tryphina. This she did on her M-in-L death cert also on her sons birthcert. Does anybody have any info on this lady or her family. Regards Mickey

Since my last Rose was female and was born in 1812, I don't expect to find any connections to current obits. However, I know they may help someone and therefore are legitimate contributions to this list. Besides--isn't it ultimately up to the List owner/administrator as to whether she allows them?
I certainly hope the obitary postings will continue as well! It certainly is NOT junk mail and could provide someone with an important lead!! So, please, keep on posting the obituary listings!!!! Thanks!!!! Carol
