Would anyone know where Newtown is? I`ve found it mentioned more than once in the parish records of Ballinlough, and would imagine it`s somewhere close by, but can`t find it on any map. Does anyone recognise it? In on instance it`s spelled Newtoen. Which I suppose is peculiar to the Irish. But in at least 2 other references I have it’s the regular spelling. Thanks for any help.
