    3. Recently someone on the List with COX ancestors, said theirs arrived in or before the early 1700s, but I missed the earlier messages. Was that arrival into America?     3. Hi Thereas, did your Cox's come from the Lincolnshire/Cambridge area? We have quite a lot that have been traced to Irnham/Market Raisan/Retford area. My grandmother was Maria Cox, her father owned a public House in Retford and before that Irnham. We also know that some went to America and are linked with Read/Reed name.
