Hello, there might be a connection because we have not found out the brothers or sisters of Michael Sharkey who we think was born in Boyle area around 1823-8. His father was John Sharkey and mother possibly Ellen or similar name. A John Sharkey died in Chesterfield, England around 1838 but no idea of age at all. We simply know that Michael Sharkey married a Catherine Reilly in the 1850s (Noon was mothers maiden name). Do you know the father of your Catherine Sharkey? We have loads of information on Sharkeys and various spouses after 1850 but no so much before.
