>From the RoscommonGenWeb Database 3/26/08: These folks were transported from Ballikilcline Roscommon to Dublin, then to Liverpool where they boarded ship Roscius 19 Oct 1847 and arrived in New York 21 Oct 1847. It seems by 1850 these improved sailing ships were making the crossing from England to New England in about five weeks.
