My great grandmother was baptized there in 1868, long after 1824. I visited the church a few years ago, and I suspect that the present church could have been built after 1824, as it doesn't look all that old, but I really don't know when... However it was built on the same ground, and a bit of the ruins of the old church have been preserved there.
