Reposting my interests: James and John BENSON came to Canada, from Ireland, around 1853. They were from Keadue or Ballyfermoyle, County Roscommon. James stayed in Canada, while John ended up in Chicago, IL, USA. John had at least one daughter, Helen Mabel BENSON, who married Rodman Merritt BROWN in 1900. I don't know if this is the same John Benson from a family tree that I am doing. Jane Huggard, daughter of Evan & Francis Huggard married a John Benson in Toronto Ont. Canada. After she died he remarried. I have no further information.
