Can anyone give me a location for the above location in regards to Athlone? I am going to Ireland next week and plan on visiting Athlone where my ancestors lived. Hello Karen, Athlone is near the middle of Ireland. It is on the road from Galway to Dublin and a good size town. The famous tenor, John McCormack was born there and there is some history of him at the Castle there. I haven't had the opportunity to see the collection but understand it is good. Have a great trip.
