The IGI has 3 BDMs for QUINN which say "Roman Catholic, Ardcarn and Tuamna, Roscommon - 1857. The film no. is 0989746 but this will probably only show the above information. So I still don't know "where" exactly. I take it that Ardcarn and Tuamna are 2 separate villages - Am I right? The daughter came to Australia and named her house "Kilronan" because that was where she came from. What I am trying to establish is if there is a specific village/s bordering Cootehall and Kilronan that was their place of origin. In Australia birth certificates require place and date of marriage - this couple came with 4 chn and had 10 more. Bit expensive for me and so far place of marriage has only been given as Roscommon and I need other priority certificates any more of these. sorry to be so wordy but I need help.......if possible Joy
