    2. Hi Lorraine, "The Search for Missing Friends" is an eight (8) Volume set. May I ask what surname you are researching? Where did they immigrant from & approximate year? Where did they reside? 3. Hi Helen, I have two great-grandmothers I'm trying to find. 1) Bridget O'FARRELL arrived in NY in June, 1871 at age 17. She went to Philadelphia where she married John Hannigan, raised her family and died in November 1942 at 90 years. We believe she was born in November 1853. We believe she was from Cloonfinlough, Strokestown, Co. Roscommon and her parents were Michael O'Farrell and Honora NEARTNEY/NEARNEY. On the ship's passenger list (The City of Antwerp) she is listed as Bridget Farrell, Spinster. I am not aware of any siblings. 2) Mary Jane O'MALLEY was born 7 Mar 1848 in County Mayo. Her parents were Peter O'MALLEY (B. 1816?- ) and Honora JUDGE. Her older sister, Margaret was born @ 1844, also in Ireland. Her sister, Annie, was born @ 1849 in Philadelphia, PA, USA. We suspect they emigrated some time after Mary Jane was born and before Annie was born in Philadelphia, PA. I have them altogether in a census (don't remember if it's the 1850 or the 1860) in Philadelphia. She later married George Kane Faris (1869), raised a family, and died in Philadelphia in 1924. Others: 3) Also, a ggreat grandfather, Owen McCAFFREY, was born in Ireland @ 1835. Location unknown, parents and siblings unknown. He married and had at least four children (Sarah b. Aug 1863 in PA, USA, Mary b. Dec 1866, Esther, & Harry). He settled in Philadelphia, PA, USA and died there @ 14 Oct 1900. 4) GGGrandparents, Michael Martin Hannigan, b. Sept 1835 in Ireland, married Mary Collern, b. 1836 in Ireland. Wedding took place in Lankashire, England 16 NOV 1853. They had four children and Mary died in Philadelphia, PA, USA 12 JUL 1869. Jan 4 1873 he married Mary ? (HANNIGAN?) in St. Anne's church in Brooklyn, NY. and they had three children. Michael died in Philadelphia 19 Feb 1915 and his 2nd wife, Mary, died 29 DEC 1907. 5) John KING was born in Ireland, married Delia Mackin, also born in Ireland. They settled in Philadelphia, PA where my grandfather, John Joseph King, was born in Philadelphia, PA on 16 JAN 1887. Daughter Catherine was born and died in 1890. There's a lot to check out which is why getting access to the books would be a big help. Lorraine faris Severna Park, MD USA --------------------------------- Do you Yahoo!? SBC Yahoo!
