    3. Teresa, Thanks for your 14 June Email. I can only confirm the approximate date of migration of my Sheerin Clan into the US to that of my Grandfather Jeremiah Sheerin. He came to Boston MA in the early 1890's and then moved to Lowell MA, got married and raised his family there. Jeremiah was born between 1865-1870. He lived in Doon, Boyle, Co. Roscommon. However, I believe he may have been the first born child to Jeremiah Sheerin, born around 1835 in Doon and Jane McDermott, born around 1840. I suspect that Jane's family lived in a nearby village/town in Co. Sligo. That being the case, then Jane would have gone back to her parents house to have her 1st born child, which was a custom then. Take care and keep in touch, Jake Sheerin

    3. Very little is know about Hanora other than she came over from County Roscommon, her fathers name was Owen. I would be interested if anyone runs onto similar combinations. Thank you, Teresa John Sheerin wrote: > Teresa, > Thanks for your 14 June Email. > > I can only confirm the approximate date of > migration of my Sheerin Clan into the US to > that of my Grandfather Jeremiah Sheerin. > He came to Boston MA in the early 1890's and > then moved to Lowell MA, got married and raised > his family there.
