    3. I have been noting with interest the mention of Michael FLYNN over the last couple of days. My gt grandfather was Michael FLYNN and we believe he was born in Roscommo circa 1862-1864, there isn`t any evidence yet of a marriage certificate for him and gt gran Maria QUINN (born circa 1861 in Tipperary) and at the moment we are assuming they never married. If they ever did marry it was after 1902 and probably would have been in Manchester England where they lived, with my gran. A distant cousin gave my mum this snippet of information regarding Michael, can anyone help me pin him down from it. Michael FLYNN was born in CLYGH? Roscommon they worshiped in Ballinloch. He had a sister who married a FLYNN and had 11 children amongst whom were Martin and Ann. Ann inherited the farm. Any help would be most appreciated. George Carter in Whaley Bridge

    3. Hi George I also have a Roscommon Flynn in my family tree.My grandmother born circa 1894 Helena Flynn. Her father was John Flynn. Family folklore has it that the Flynns originated from Co Cork(as yet I have been unable to get proof of the family's origins). Helena married my Grandfather (John Joseph Madden born Co Roscommon) in Liverpool in 1921.John Flynn is listed as a Farmer deceased on the marriage certificate. Helena.s mother's details are not known to me as yet.Helena is buried in Ford Cemetery Liverpool. The reason I hoped there may be a connection is that we were told that she was one of 11 siblings. Being Irish Catholics I know I can't assume they would have been the only Flynns with 11 children. Have you checked the 1901 census to see if your family were still in Ireland then. I would love to hear back if you have further information and think there could be a connection My email is [email protected] Regards Marion
