Janet, et al, I wondered if your resources may have any records of Francis Dufficy (born abt. 1800) who ran away from Roscommon County to the U.S. (New Orleans) around 1846 with his wife, Alicia Lane (born abt 1810) and their six children (Henry? b.abt 1830, Bridgette b. abt 1834, Jane b. abt 1836, Michael Calhoun b. 1839, Thomas b. abt 1841, and Dennis b. abt 1844). I have cannot seem to find any records of Francis parents, siblings, marriage, etc. Family lore has it that Alicia's father was Thomas Lane.
