Hello..... Never have had any success locating anyone else searching for my ancestors but thanks for the chance to repost - Family stories indicate that: Martin Foley and his cousin James (a teacher) left County Kerry in 1798 - the names I have for Martin's parents are Kernic (Kenric?) Foley and Mary Kelly. I think they lived in or near Killorgin. 5 sons of Martin Foley and Mary Grehan emigrated to the United States (Boston) from Taughmaconnell, County Roscommon between 1835 and 1850. Patrick (1815-1890) (Ontario, Canada) Thomas (1818-1882) (Ontario, Canada) William (1820-1888) (Canada and Minnesota) John (c1825- ) (Westerly, R.I.) Martin (Brooklyn) I have never been able to find any of them listed on ships' lists and do not know the port from which they left Ireland. Again family history says that they came in 1835 but with the birth dates I have find it hard to believe that they all came at the same time. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thomas Foley was my GGrandfather. . Maureen Clark, Ottawa, Canada.
