Hi Kathy, Last year I saw the christening records for oldest two children of my Elwood/Beirne ggrandparents in the RC Parish of Croghan (they were in the priests house down the road from the church). The Elwoods lived in Canbo, a very tiny place, couldn't call it a town, I think Elwoods still live there (only 3 houses and the ruins of the Tower of Canbo Castle). I have communicated via e-mail with a woman from Croghan. The old priest, Fr. Roger Leonard, has retired and the new priest is now living in Drumlion, I would assume he took the sacramental registers with him. The house in Croghan was very old.
