Charlie, No, Blanche Oatman was not a daughter. Nor a granddaughter. Having worked with the Rhode Island index of BMD, I know the "Kin" lines often make no sense or have any relavancy to the subject person. If the entry lists s.of or d.of or w.of , you have a better chance of having found a relative! Thanks for the suggestion.
