    3. Hello Kathleen. My ancestors originate from Boyle. We are not sure when they emigrated but I know that Michael was born in 1823, his father was called John. (~We are not sure if John's wife was called Ellen). Michael married in Chesterfield, Derbyshire in 1856 to Catherine OReilly (from Kiltevan) and the line continued. We know John was a farmer, thought the family were not farming when they came to England. I have the infomration on them all from the 1850s and am more than willing to share. There seemed to be two separate Sharkey groups in Chesterfield, virtually living next door to each other but I have not found a link between them! The Sharkeys that fought in the Civil War and one becoming a governor in Mississippi were also supposed to be relatives. Again I cannot find the link back to 1700s. Frustrating.
