I know this Sharkey, Sharkett, Sheerin family has been on the list for a few days so some one may have already looked at the LDS CD set British Isles Vital Recond Index but here goes. There are many records from the Boyle RC church, Sharkey 126 entrys from 1792 to 1880, Sharkett 106 from 1794 to ? ( i forgot to write that one down) Sheerin 277 from 1791 to 1878. There are 12 Ellen Sheerin christenings from 1803 to 1861. Nothing on Jeremiah. There was a Johanes (John) Sharkett married to an Eleonora Sheerin and they were the parents of Maria 9 Feb 1820, Johana (female) 21 Jan 1822, and Michael 14 Sep 1823. Jack

John, Thanks for your information on the Sheerin christenings. In regard to my Grandfather Jeremiah Sheerin, his father was also listed as Darby, Dermit/Dermot, Jeremiah and the name Sheerin was also spelled as Sheeran for him. Thanks for any help.
