My Grandfather a Michael Duncan Cain was born in Roscommon in c1838 and was a Coach Harness Maker. His Father was a Lawrence Cain. Michael came to England in about 1855 and joined the Army in Birmingham. Has anybody come across this family in their research? Michael Cain

Hello Michael - if you don't already have it there is this reference in the Griffith's Valuations for Roscommon County Laurence KANE renting a house and small garden from George Digby in Drumdaff townland, Kilbride parish, Ballintober Barony.
