Hello Bob and Joyce, While I do not see a connection with my family I should let you know my similar interest. My g g grandmother was Ann ROPER, born before 1787, married William TORDOFF in Bradford, Yorks, Eng on Nov 13,1803. I also have two distant cousins with the ROPER name both of whom married TORDOFFs, they are Emma born 1857 in Bradford and Sarah born 1860. Do you know if your ROPERs originated in the Yorkshire County in England. As a matter of interest I also have a number of ROBINSONs in my family tree.
