Hi Beryl, Among the Roper descendants that I have tracked, I know of two Roper family members having moved to London: 1. A John Norris Roper (b. c1873 in Winterborne Whitechurch, Dorset), wife Doris, lived in Brentford, London and died there in 1943. 2. A Giles Symonds Roper (1814 - 1883), a doctor and surgeon, moved to London, St. Pancras. He probably died in Richmond, Mdx. He was there for the 1881 census. He had, to my knowledge, three daughters, but no sons. I am sure dozens of other Roper descendants from Christopher Roper migrated to London, but I have not tracked them. Have you tried L. David Roper's voluminous web-site for Roper family trees, at: www.roperld.com David is probably the world's foremost Ropers genealogist. Good luck, Beryl.
