She was born April 11, 1919, in Pueblo, to William and Anna May (Roper) Eddington. She was married to Silas M. Spalding Sr. She is survived by her children, Johnny Benard, Carol Ann Benard; stepchildren; many nieces; nephews; grandchildren; and great-grandchildren. Mrs. Spalding was preceded in death by her parents; four sisters and one brother. Cremation was handled by Wilson Crematory. Canon City Daily Record 12/24/04
