Sorry, I should have mentioned this before. These marriages were in Macon County, North Carolina, and Vicy Redmond's parents were from Rabun County, Georgia. Hello, I have a marriage of Vicy Redman to James Dowell in 1848, and I have a marriage of Vicy Dowell to James Roper in 1879. In 1879 her parents were on the marriage certificate as Richard Redmon and Malinda Redmon. There have been references to Vicy Redman also being called Louisa Redman (Redmon, Redmond), who had a daughter Lucy Josephine Dowell who married Theodore C Welch. Does anyone have a source, documentation, or any information on Vicy Redman's full name? Thanks, Rick
