One of my questions is that I have read that Robert Davis (b. 1837 or 1839) died 1895, father-in-law to James Robert Roper, is buried in Nassau, FL. Does anyone have any info on that? The other is that I've seen Susan's maiden name as Richards or Daley. Robert and Susan are my mother-in-law's great-grandparents. The story is that Robert threw his daughter's (Mary Lenora "Nora" Davis) clothes out the window when he found out she had married my m-i-l's grandfather, James Roper. The other mystery is that I've found a cemetery marker, "Susan Richard" (no s) "Davis-1840" in the same cemetery, but a different location as my m-i-l's parents (Wilburn and Olyra Warnock Roper) and grandparents (Nora and James). My mother-in-law has never heard anything about her great-grandmother being in that cemetery (E. Armuchee Bpt., Walker, GA). Does anyone know anything more about these families?
