    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/kgDBAEB/792.3.1.1 Message Board Post: I was told by my uncle as a little girl that Jesse (or the Parr that left SC and went to Pickens Co., AL) was the son of Claborn Parr of SC. I've been told that a Jesse Parr son of Claborn of SC was married to a Nancy Ivey before he left SC. In the 1870 Pickens Co., AL census, some of the children are left in the household with a newly added girl child named Ella age 8. I'm assuming that Jesse and Catharine died during the war years. By the 1880 census their son James Thomas Parr is married to Elmina Strickland of Pickens Co., Wm "Bill" Leroy Parr is married to Martha Ella Whatley daughter of W. Francis M. and Hixsey Whatley of Pickens Co. , Jesse Jr is living in the household of Rebecca Barham and later marrys the daughter Jemimah/ Jenny Barham of Pickens Co., a Ruthie E. Parr is a cook at the Poor farm in Pickens Co. (I believe she's Ruthie Ellen Parr born between James and William). From what I've seen the Jesse Parr son of Claborn Parr of SC was born in 1802 which d! oes consist with this Jesse W. Parr in Pickens Co., AL.. In the 1900 census James Thos. and William "Bill" Leroy Parr moved their families into Fayette Co., AL... Bill is buried at Old Union Cemetery in Fayette Co., AL.......
