Louisiana area. He had a brother that was sent to another family in Tallulah and he kept the Roper name. Elmer married a Lucy Shipley. They had many sons and daughters Mark Foster, David Foster, Dollie Foster, Mildred Foster, Dean Foster, Francis Foster. Mark Foster was my grandfather, Elmer Roper/ Foster my gr grandfather, any info would be much appreciated. We know next to nothing past Mark Foster.
