LINDLY in Vigo County, Indiana, while searching for something else. Because the record is rather obscure and might be of some use to a descendent of this couple, I wanted to share the record on the ROPER Message Board. The record appears to me to be MISINDEXED at the Family Search site, probably due to the unusual organization of the data on the underlying primary record, which appears to me to span SIX pages across THREE Family Search images. Family Search uses volunteers of varying experience and competence to index newly posted records. In my view, the Indexer may not have taken the time to fully understand the unusual organization of the underlying data which appears to me to be IMPROPERLY labeled by spreading data across consecutive pages CONTRARY to the column headings. The parentheticals are MY interpretation of the data based upon content and organization. The numbers in brackets are column numbers actually identified in the Marriage Book. As can be seen, some of the information across pages is redundant. Until one carefully studies these records, the organization of the data across six consecutive pages is hardly intuitive. But the wealth of genealogical information given is a real goldmine!
