This may be a naive question but is there a way to eliminate spam and porn being entered into guestbooks? Our local genealogical and historical societies both have had a problem with multiple entries in their guestbooks. Thanks for any suggestions. Jean R. THE BEST suggestion I ever got to keep spammers OUT of my guestbook is to not use "guestbook" in the name of the file (like guestbook.html). Rename it ANYTHING but guestbook. Robots search for that specific file to make automated entries. Here are some ideas for naming::: gb.html (or htm) guesbk.html guessbook.html (gueSS - play on words & deliberate misspelling) mymomma.html welikeyou.html whatever.html ALL you MUST do is go into the code inside the webpages where your guestbook is set up and RENAME it there too! I got tons of spam before when I had guestbook.htm NOW I get zilch. Judy On 11/16/06, Jean R.
