    3. Janelle, I assume you have rootsweb "in" your firewall, right, so it has permission to talk to and from your computer? My Norton had to write all kinds of "permission rules" before my web worked. Have you tried turning off your firewall for 5 minutes just to see if you can properly connect once? Most of the time I find roots doesn't like something *I* did to my web on my side, but I know when my firewall was not configured right, my web acted like I was trying to start a car without having its insides assembled. Have you tried going to Fileman and trying to upload one page through there? Sometimes all roots needs is a little tricking, like how many times you have to push the gas pedal in an old car. Plus, if you can upload from there, you'll at least know the connection is not broken and can look elsewhere for the problem.
