    1. Re: [ROOTSWEB-HELP] Help with moving files

    3. You do NOT need to copy code and make new pages! Download one of the free ftp programs to move the files to the new directory. You will then need to make sure all links relating to those pages point to the correct directory. If you are going to do some reorganizing, I would suggest take one section at a time - cemetery, courthouse, etc. etc. - move the files correct the links. BEFORE YOU START, MAKE SURE YOU HAVE A GOOD BACKUP OF THE SITE!!!! You might also consider adding a site wide navigation system to your pages. You have some very good info on your site but the back button is the only way to navigate. Also a site map. You never know which "door" to your site, the viewer will enter. Many will come in some way other than your "front door."These may be of some help - http://www.genealogy-web-creations.com/creating-site-navigation.htm http://www.genealogy-web-creations.com/creating-navigation-menu.html You already have the beginning of a navigation system on your entry page pat At 07:44 AM 2/7/2007, you wrote: >Thanks for the suggestions. >I have a bunch of /*cemetery.html files that I would like to move to a >sub-directory /Cemetery/.
