Since, as someone else already suggested, you probably used your RootsWeb site as a redirect to another site in clear violation of the account agreement, and did not respond to the email from [email protected] offering you a chance to correct your violation. Accounts never closes an account without contacting the account holder of record. The Accounts Department has logs of mail sent to you and your response or lack thereof, so you will have to address your concerns to them. Pat
Pat, I've no idea who you are, but I must say, I'm starting to become quite offended by your outlandish "suggestions" which are becoming more and more like downright accusations. If "accounts never closes an account without contacting the owner of record," then clearly accounts did not close this one, since I *am* the one and only account owner and I've yet to be contacted by a soul from Rootsweb even though I've surely been trying to contact them! So by your own logic, clearly something else has caused the problem here. Mercy. If you're going to persist in insulting me, perhaps the tables need to be turned round. Perhaps I should ask if YOU hacked my account? -Sandy On Feb 6, 2007, at 4:12 PM, Pat Asher wrote: > At 03:39 PM 2/6/2007, Sandy wrote: >> Something certainly doesn't seem right about that. >> >> Are you suggesting that Rootsweb would *intentionally* just close an >> account holders account with NO contact whatsoever? >> Deleting all files, resetting permissions - and yet NO contact? >> >> I've had this account for probably close to 10 years - why on EARTH >> would they do something like that? > > Since, as someone else already suggested, you probably used your > RootsWeb site as a redirect to another site in clear violation of the > account agreement, and did not respond to the email from > [email protected] offering you a chance to correct your > violation.
