I had nothing but problems with IE7 and could not find any way to FTP into RootsWeb. After days of researching the problem and reading all the related postings I could find, trying all of the suggestions, and continuing to fail, I finally gave up. You can easily uninstall IE7 and return to IE6 without losing any of your favorites, etc. I did it and have suffered no ill effects at all. Here are the instructions that Microsoft provides for the process: To uninstall Internet Explorer 7 to return to Internet Explorer 6 on Windows XP Click "Start," and then click "Control Panel." Click "Add or Remove Programs." Check "Show Updates" at the top of the dialog box. Scroll down the list and highlight the version of Internet Explorer 7 that you are running, and then click "Change/Remove." (If you are running Internet Explorer 7 Beta 2 Preview — March 20 or later, it is not necessary to check "Show Updates.") Go here (http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/downloads/default.mspx) and select the appropriate version of Internet Explorer 7 for your operating system.
