A couple of our web page users alerted me about our counter at http://www.rootsweb.com/~okbhs/ possibly not functioning. The image box that shows the count is there, however, the numbers do not appear to change. I've checked to see if I've changed anything by accident. It appears I haven't. I've checked to see if it is a browser or security setting issue. The count is the same in all browsers at all levels of browser security. Just need to know if the problem is something I need to fix. If so, how? Shari at BHS

The RootsWeb Counter will not count consecutive repeat visits from the same IP address. In other words, you can not affect the count by visiting the page yourself several times in a row. When I visited just now, the count was 13378. A visit from a different IP address should register as 13379. Pat
I'm curious -- is there a time limit for consecutive repeats visits? In other words if I visit a page today and then not again for six months (using the same computer and IP address) will my future visit not be counted because of the today's visit?
