Marcia, I haven't figured out a way to change the opacity of a layer in Paintshop Pro. I like the effect you have on your web site. I understand that Paintship Pro is now owned by Adobe. I know that the price has gone up dramatically. I am using the last version that was created by JASC. My budget won't allow me to obtain Adobe Photoshop. Ron
Hi folks, Just a quick note. Paintshop Pro was bought by Corel. I used to use it but just before the change in ownership I changed to Photoshop Elements. It's a different user interface (namely you have relearn where things are, the names and the different keystrokes to do things) but I'm slowly getting comfortable with it. Elements is about the same price as Paintshop Pro used to be, under $100 and sometimes a sale will get it for $50 or less. I would not pay the $500+ price for the full Photoshop either. I'm not a professional and don't pretend that I will be that good in my lifetime. I'm retired and image editing is occasional. Take care...
