For all the work you are going to put into this, would it be worth it just to move your site to a provider that won't put banners on your webpages? Yes, you might have to pay $100/year for such a site, but with all the hoops you are jumping thru, it might be worth it. >> Thanks for the comment. The best reason I can think of is that Rootsweb is/was once free service to genealogists. My site is a free service the genealogists researching their roots in SW Scotland. As a sort of a Millennium Project I set myself the goal of photographing every Kirk and taking a sample sets of photographs from every Graveyard in Dumfries and Galloway. My photos are copyright free to any family historian produce a not-for-profit family history book or website. (Although I may never finish it, I'm still working on it.) I could switch to another host I use. _www.freeola.com_ (http://www.freeola.com) is a 'free' UK hosts who offer unlimited webspace. (i.e free in the sense that they get a cut of the telephone bill when used for dial-up access.) I didn't quite appreciate that the frames layout created problems for users. Since posting my intial message that message has come across very clearly. I thought the provision of a side navigation bars was user-friendly enough for anyone My site covering a walking holiday on the Scottish Island of RUM _http://www.sypittdfs.freeola.com/Walks/Rum/index.htm_ (http://www.sypittdfs.freeola.com/Walks/Rum/index.htm) is an example of what I mean. So in short -- I'm STICKING with Rootsweb for now, but I'm certainly not STUCK there. Regards, Sandy
