A lot of people have probably run into this when dealing with submissions from people with various versions, so it's worth pointing out this free converter: <http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=941b3470-3ae9-4aee-8f43-c6bb74cd1466&displaylang=en> which allows versions back to Office 2000 to work with 2007 files. Also, there is the recurring problem with Microsoft Works files, which may be partially solved with this converter: <http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=BF41401E-70FA-465D-AE2E-CF44DBF05297&displaylang=en> which will allow you to read Works files into Office 2003 and 2007.
