When we got our new spiffy website, the hit counter was gone. I'm not sure what to call it. We have SiteMeter, which is much more detailed, but I also liked the old one which counted each hit for each page. That told us whether a new frill was worth the trouble, or whether no one cared to look at it. I understand there are free ones to be had.
