A person has contacted me about her problem viewing my NYS Off-line Sources at: http://www.rootsweb.com/~nysource/ Her initial note stated: " It is impossible to read the blue print on the black background. Unfortunately, this section is useless because the title of the books is illegible. I had looked forward to reading it but it is impossible. Can the background be changed to a light color?? " Since I not using a black background, I her wrote back to her to see what pages, if not all pages, she had problems with, and this is her response: " I checked your Off Line site again, and everytime I found a listing of books under any category, there appears a 2 or 3 line box which must include the title and brief description of the book, all of which is illegible. The black bleeds into the blue print, making it all black. I think part of the title description is typed in black, but that of course can't be seen either. I also tried Otsego, Delaware, Essex, and Catt. Counties and New York City with the same result. The black box is usually two or three lines deep and almost all the width of the page. The box of a green-blue around the county choice is legible. " There is no color listed for background - all are .gif format images. Why is this happening to her and how does one correct the problem? I'm stumped, so will appreciate any help anyone can offer. Thank you. Melinda Cornwell Coordinator of NYS Off-line Sources
