I have recently (yesterday) taken over as webmaster for our genealogical society's webpage. I downloaded all the files that were there using WS_FTP95 LE, updated it using FrontPage 2000 as my editor, then uploaded again via WS_FTP95 LE. All the links to pages within my web were changed to my harddrive rather than the relative path on the rootsweb server! I tried uploading using FrontPage 2000's publishing feature and found the same problem. I recently updated to the latest SR pack for Office 2000 from the Microsoft Office 2000 update site. That is the only thing I can think of that might be different. Unless I created the new web in FrontPage incorrectly. It has been a while since I created a new web so I may have forgotten an important step in that process. Does anyone have a clue what I may have done wrong? My URL is http://www.rootsweb.com/~asgs I didn't get a copy of the confirmation from the old webmaster; just the password, so am guessing at the ftp address. But I think I did it correctly. I set up the WS_FTP95 LE like this: GENERAL TAB: Host Name/address: rootsweb.com Host type: UNIX (standard) User ID: asgs STARTUP TAB: public_html The setup in FrontPage 2000 for "specify location to publish your web to": ftp://users.rootsweb.com/home0001/users1/asgs/public_html This is the path that came up when I connected via WS_FTP95. Thanks for any help you can provide. Sherri Hessick ô¿ô Tucson, AZ
