    3. Brenda, there is no possible way for a Windows virus to infect the Unix servers that Rootsweb uses for lists. And since attachments are not allowed, they cannot be passed THROUGH the servers, either. Perhaps some of your list MEMBERS are infected. If they have the Bad-Trans or Magister virus/worm, the infected computers will send out replies to list posts that will LOOK like list posts -- but are not. For this reason, once you find out that someone is infected, you need to unsub them, for the protection of the rest of your list. Once they get their computer(s) clean, they can rejoin.
