    3. HI all, I am requesting that we all back off on criticism of the new boards for a few days and just stick to viable questions regarding the new boards. As in most new things, there will always be bugs to iron out. I remember the GenConnect Boards needed "tweaking" when they first came "onboard" and it took time for them to be ironed out. Instead of "slamming" the new system, let's work with it as it appears this is the "new way" and it is here to stay. Patience, T FYI: I am not part of the new system, I just take care a few boards.

    3. Agreed. It seems that all the criticism of everyone who has "boards." Frankly, I never understood what "boards" were and was never able to navigate them. Naturally, you are all possessive of the work you have done, but isn't it just possible that plain old users will be happy with the new system? ----- Original Message ----- From: "R. W. 3. It's not that I'm so possessive of the work that I've done. I don't have a Board. I'm just a "plain old user" who has contributed hundreds of obits, bios and other data in the past year. I'd like to just be able to find them now. Since there are several of us from my county who post, it's important that we do a search prior to posting to make sure that it hasn't already been posted by someone else. I can't get anything to come up when I do the searches. That's the problem! I know the obits are there, yet when I try to run a search, it comes up zero! 3. they are there. Just follow this procedure very carefully! Do not use abbreviation or plural forms of the ten words obituary biography pension cemetery etc (they are listed in the popup menu in advance search) 1. Enter "obituary" in the box 2. click on the "hole" that is left of the words "THIS BOARD" 3. Press "Go!" button you get all you want. Shame on Joan for not explaining it clearly. David Samuelsen "B.
