There is a huge difference between this case and moving Rootsweb boards. For one thing, the board submission was made to the board and was made electronically. Moving a board message is moving the original message in it's submitted format by it's submitter simply to a different location on the internet. It would not be so different from moving an author's article from page three of a newspaper to page five. It's still on the internet and still serving the purpose of the post. Also, a post by a genealogist is not at all like original material submitted for financial gain. There is no benefit to the author of the post or the mover of the message financially. The board managers have the right to delete inappropriate messages at will. As a board owner, I can decide what stays and goes. I can certainly decide where it goes; the submitters can then have the choice of whether to continue to submit.
