    3. not required if you have NO intentions of search the paid portion of Ancestry.com. Still a requirement of user-id and password to do anything in the free portion area. And for what is worth - the boards.ancestry.com is actually located at Rootsweb in California rather than Provo, Utah. Watch the flash message at the bottom while you go further. W.
