My only concern is to upload to a file named african_american on the server. I created the african_american file in front page, and now trying to upload to the server. I'm not clear whether 'african_american' is a directory or a file name. If it is a file named african_american.html, just publish to the address above. To upload to a directory named african_american, publish to: ftp://users.rootsweb.com/public_html/african_american If you already have a page named african_american.html, uploading a new version to the same location will overwrite and replace the existing file.
