    3. If you have been having FTP problems, you might want to check your settings before blaming rootsweb for your problems. Just checked mine and sure enouch, Passive Transfer was checked and Force Lower Case filenames on remote server had been unchecked. Not the way I had it set up originally. Don't know if it was responsible this time, but Windows 98 has a frustrating habit of eating files and changing settings on my computer because it thinks it knows better than I what they should be. I still curse the day I installed it. Norma Jennings.

    3. Thanks for the input on slow FTP. Last night, WITHOUT changing any of my own settings, things loaded MUCH more quickly, like they did prior to the Rootsweb outage. I went ahead and left the "passive" selected because I wanted to see how it would perform. Much better - I think it was a Rootsweb issue. Whatever the reason, I'm glad to have it back to normal!
