Batesy, Have you gone to a search engine and submitted your URL? That comes first. Always put information in the meta tags before the body of the page. I submitted a page to Alta Vista a couple of months ago. I don't know how long it took for them to index me, but it was not terribly long. It's in there now. Last time I knew Alta Vista doesn't assess sites before it indexes them. Yahoo does, but Yahoo is useless anyway. Popularity doesn't matter in regard to being in the Alta Vista database. Once you're in Alta Vista, you'll come up in Google, which is widely considered to be the best engine at the moment. I haven't tried to submit anything to Google. I think they just use other engines en masse in one-stop shopping style. Alta Vista also has, or used to, tips on being sure all your pages get into the system, and that's were the meta tags come into play. As for getting your page known in other ways, that's another question. Good luck, Doug
