It's impossible to tell why your pages aren't uploading correctly from viewing your site. The 1841 births seem to have uploaded a blank page; it exists but without full text. I'd simply try again. THAT sounds like she maybe missed closing a tag or omitted the ?/html? tag at the end of the file. Thanks folks, one of my sons had deleted FTP Explorer "because [he] didn't think anyone else used it" and in reconfiguring it, turns out I hadn't ticked PASV mode and had used a shortcut for the initial path which Rootsweb server only recognized with some pages.
