Is it possible (or permited) to use a ".htaccess" file on a site hosted on rootsweb ? The idea is to use a personnal 404page. Roger, I'll have to talk with the sysadmins, but I think they've set up the Apache server with "AllowOverride None" options for user accounts/directories. If so, I think that would cause any .htacess file you created to be ignored. Some RootsWeb folks are at GenTech in Dallas this weekend -- others are exhausted from fixing the GenConnect server. But I'll ask when I get a chance. Regards, Elsi Regards, Elsi
