    3. Everyone, I (sort of) discovered why it was happening. Large bodies of text (and, actually, just about anything else) is converted into tables by Front Page. Good old MicroSoft - I used to create my pages in just html, but decided to teach myself Front Page. Lucky for me I do know html since I was able to delete the offending code referring to tables - now the pages are correct.
